What makes me a great Content Writer?
That’s an excellent question… please allow me to answer it in full, with a lot of highfalutin’ fancy words.
When it comes to crafting content that’s informative, engaging, and jam packed with personality, I’m your man (and or person). My diverse experience, creative mindset and passion for delivering work that grabs people’s attention makes me a great choice for the role of Content Writer.
Here’s why I’ll hit the ground running, and why you’ll want me on your team.
A Unique Voice in A Disgusting, E. Coli Filled Sea of Sameness
The digital world is saturated with horrible AI content, but that’s not my style. I mean, yes, I use AI all the time, as I’m not a luddite and it’s a really great first draft generator – it using AI turns you into an outstanding brief writer – BUT I take pride in producing work that stands out. My writing captures attention, holds onto it slightly too firmly, and leaves a lasting impression… Like a nasty red mark that might draw suspicious looks if chanced upon by a caregiver.
Whether it’s turning a dry technical guide more palatable, optimising a CV or hopping on the coattails of the latest trends in digital marketing, I know how to balance the informative with the entertaining.
At my core, I’m a storyteller. I have an innate ability to develop a distinctive tone of voice that aligns perfectly with your audience’s needs, ensuring they don’t just consume information but genuinely connect with it.
How-To Guides with Flair
Converting "how to" guides from impenetrable jargon to something people can actually use is one of the things I enjoy most about copywriting. Breaking down complex topics into clear, digestible, succulent chunks is something that comes naturally to me. I’m not just focused on delivering facts; I make guides enjoyable to read and loftily sprinkle in some Canva magic to make it all look nice – because I’m great with Canva. I take the time format the whole lot properly to make it easy to follow, no matter the device you’re reading it on… It could even be printed, because I’m not above print.
My experience in using WordPress and creating seamless, reader-friendly content ensures I can upload and format my work directly, saving time and delivering a polished product every time.
WAY More Than Just Words
Sometimes words alone just aren’t enough. That’s why I’ve sharpened my skills in Canva to create accompanying visuals that not only support the text but enhance the reader’s understanding. Explainer images are a powerful tool, and I’ve developed a keen eye for balancing form and function in these elements.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that I'm VERY good at making weird, vaguely retro themed videos – I've recently taken to TikTok – and I do digital art that's good enough to pay money for. If you want a portrait of your nana fighting a walrus, I'm your guy.
Entrepreneurial Spirit with a Digital Marketing Twist
I’ve dabbled in everything from running my own blog to creating a website – this one here – where I showcase my portfolio of work. This entrepreneurial mindset means I’m always thinking ahead, seeking out ways to create content that not only engages but also converts. My knowledge of SEO, content marketing, and email marketing allows me to write articles that not only draw in readers but keep them coming back for more.
And yes, I’m the kind of person who stays on top of the latest trends. I (sometimes) read digital marketing blogs, watch copywriting videos taken from copywriting podcasts, and keep an eye on SEO updates – always ready to apply what I learn to my work.
A Proven Track Record in Content Creation
Thanks to my rich and diverse background in writing for equally rich and diverse range of clients – everything from entrepreneurs and yoga teachers to big pharma and grassroots football – I’ve got a range of experiences that have prepared me for this role. I know how to research topics thoroughly, check out competitor approaches, and deliver work that’s fresh and engaging. From writing for high-profile companies to producing entertaining reviews, my writing experience is broad, but the common thread is unmistakable quality.
So, What DOES Make Me A Great Content Writer?
Well, to be brutally honest and perfectly frank, I don’t just tick the boxes.
You’ll see from the work I produce that I go above and beyond. My ability to write compelling, amusing, unique content combined with my knack for visual design and a forward thinking, progressive approach to AI makes me the ideal candidate for the role. I’m here to help your organisation excel, and virtually nothing would make me happier than helping people find work.
I’m looking for a role that gives me creative freedom and allows me to keep growing as a writer. Frankly, I’d love the chance to contribute my skills to your team.
I’m ready to create fantastic content that informs, amuses, entertains and perhaps even inspires.
I’ll leave you with this lovely haiku, that I believe ties everything together nicely:
Great content stands out,
Far more than just mundane words.
Please give me a job.
Yeah, that's right. I'm a poet too.
I look forward to working with you.
Yours in good faith,
Anthony James Clark.
